Design:

The advantage of working with a small design company is our ability to design in accordance with the unique specifications of each client. We typically meet either on site or at Arcadia Design studio for a one hour initial consultation. Once Arcadia Design is engaged, a series of drawings, dimensions and wood choices are developed. After the design specifications have been agreed upon, a deposit is required to begin. Production time averages 3-12 weeks depending on the size of the project. There will be an additional cost for delivery and onsite installation.

Integrity:

Arcadia designs and builds furniture to last for many generations. We use handpicked, figured hardwoods, traditional joinery techniques, and multilayered, rubbed finishes. We proudly stand by the integrity of each piece produced in our studio. An instruction sheet for the care of your furniture will be given upon delivery to ensure many years of value.

Conservation:

We continually educate ourselves about new developments in the lumber and building industries. To make this dwindling resource more sustainable, we seek out small wood dealers, urban lumber jacks, and wood companies who can provide responsibly harvested hardwoods. By being conscientious in our choice of suppliers, we are investing in the future of fine hardwood furniture. Over the past 12 years, we have been experimenting with non toxic, eco friendly, durable finishes to lessen the toxic load in-house and for our clients. There are a range of finishes we can apply depending on the use of the furniture and the needs of our clients.
